Is there an age limit to enter the event?

The minimum age for participants is 16 years old with a participating guardian or 18 otherwise.

I’ve never worked with clay before. Do you offer a class for newbies?
No experience is necessary! We will guide you through the entire creative process. Be ready to learn, get dirty and have fun!

How should I prep for class?
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty, trim your nails, tie your hair up if it’s long, and remove jewelry. All class fees include instruction, clay, glaze, firing, and use of studio tools, so you do not need to bring or purchase any other supplies.

Is the potter’s wheel difficult to learn?
Learning anything new takes practice! Getting used to the wheel may take some time and your first try may be challenging, but give it a few chances and you’ll start to understand how the clay works against the force of the wheel. Once you have a handle on the basics, you will get the hang of it. And don’t worry, we will be there at every step to guide you.

What happens if I show up late?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the schedule start of the class so that it can start on time. Due to the nature of the class, attendees arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed in the class.

What if I am not able to attend the workshop? Can I get a refund?

For workshops, you can get your refund (minus the processing fees) up to one week before your class. Partial refunds can be available after that on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed. For 6-Week Class, you can get your refund (minus the processing fees) up to two weeks before the start date of your class. Partial refunds can be available after that on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed. Workshops with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled and payment refunded (minus the processing fees). Mud Club reserves the right, if necessary to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances and participant workshop fees will be refunded (minus the processing fees).

How long does it take for my pieces to be fired?
It roughly takes approximately 3–4 weeks for your pieces to be completely ready. We will contact you as soon as your pieces are ready to be picked up.
