Taiyaba Ahmed - Owner & Instructor
Taiyaba Ahmed is a ceramic artist, founder of Mud Club, and co-founder of the South Asian Clay Collective. She approaches her practice with humility and a deep respect for the healing nature of clay. To her, clay is a medium that restores, connects, and empowers.
Mud Club grew out of her love for sharing pottery and creating a space where creativity and community come together. Shaped by the lessons clay has taught her, Taiyaba leads with patience, empathy, and resilience, inspiring and empowering others along their artistic journeys.
Through the South Asian Clay Collective, Taiyaba nurtures a space where artists in the diaspora and beyond, connect through the shared language of clay. The collective grew from a desire to navigate the joys and challenges of rootedness, migration, and the balance between inherited traditions and evolving identities. By bringing South Asian ceramic artists together across borders, she fosters dialogue, connection, and the sharing of knowledge, creating a community that uplifts, inspires, and empowers its members.
